UF Health Mobile Cancer Screening Connector

A mobile outreach program designed to expand access to cancer screening, education, and care across North Central Florida. The unit brings services directly to communities and events, offering screenings for breast, cervical, colorectal, and prostate cancers, along with health education, financial navigation, and connections to primary care and research opportunities. The program focuses on reducing barriers such as transportation, cost, and time away from work to support early detection and improved cancer outcomes.

Florida Cancer Specialists Lake City – Cancer Nutrition Counseling

Oncology‑focused nutrition counseling and education is provided to support patients throughout cancer treatment and survivorship. Services are led by registered dietitian nutritionists with expertise in cancer care and include individualized nutrition guidance, virtual wellness and cooking classes, access to dietitian consultations, and educational newsletters. These services are designed to help patients maintain strength, manage treatment‑related side effects, and support overall health during and after cancer treatment.

Florida Cancer Specialists Lake City – Virtual Support Groups

Free, online support offered only for FCS patients and caregivers during cancer treatment and survivorship. Led by behavioral health therapists and facilitated by clinical social workers, these weekly groups provide emotional support, education, and guided discussion in a confidential, virtual setting. An online clinical trial search tool provided by the UF Health Cancer Institute that helps patients and providers identify cancer clinical trials that may be a good fit. The platform allows users to quickly explore available clinical trials by condition and learn more about eligibility and study options. NaviGATOR also supports streamlined referral by providers to the UF Health Cancer Institute for patients interested in participating in a clinical trial.

Cancer Education and Support Sessions – UF Health

Bimonthly virtual programs hosted by UF Health for patients, survivors, caregivers, and friends affected by cancer. These sessions are facilitated by oncology nurse navigators and feature education from UF Health multidisciplinary cancer experts, along with opportunities to connect with others facing similar experiences. The Ulman Foundation

The Ulman Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting adolescents and young adults, along with their families, impacted by cancer. Through its comprehensive programs, the foundation addresses the physical, emotional, and social challenges that arise during treatment and survivorship.

One of its core services is the Ulman House, which provides free lodging for individuals undergoing cancer treatment away from home just blocks away from top hospitals and oncology programs in Baltimore, MD. The supportive residential environment is designed to reduce the financial and emotional burden of treatment travel.

In addition to housing, the Ulman Foundation offers virtual support groups and community programming that provide emotional support, peer connection, and survivorship resources for young adults navigating cancer treatment, recovery, and life beyond diagnosis. An online, monthly support group for individuals affected by breast cancer, including those newly diagnosed, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers. The group meets virtually and is facilitated by licensed professionals, offering guided discussion, emotional support, and opportunities to connect with others who share similar experiences. Sessions may include guest speakers, such as medical professionals, and provide access to additional support and resources to help participants navigate diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship in a safe and confidential setting.
