The American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC) is a consortium of professional organizations dedicated to improving survival and quality of life for cancer patients through standard-setting, prevention, research, education, and the monitoring of quality comprehensive quality care. The CoC is the only multidisciplinary accreditation program for cancer programs in the United States. Currently, nearly 1,400 hospitals and cancer centers are accredited by the CoC.
